Powerhouse Pepper may be Basil Wolverton’s greatest comic creation. The character, created in 1942, was considered outrageously inventive among his peers. Even though his work at Mad was short-lived the New York Times designated him as the “Michelangelo of Mad Magazine”. There’s only a handful of these pages that survived. Circa late 50’s or early 60’s
